Code of Conduct

The Brazilian Zouk Dance Council Code of Conduct promotes a culture of respect, inclusion, and sportsmanship within the global Zouk community and among competitors.

As representatives of the BZDC, we reaffirm our commitment to the values of Brazilian Zouk and present the following guidelines:

1. Respect for all dancers

We promote mutual respect and appreciation among dancers, recognizing the diverse talents and backgrounds that enrich the global Zouk community.

2. Consent and personal boundaries

We prioritize clear and enthusiastic consent in all dance interactions, emphasizing the importance of respecting individual boundaries both on and off the dance floor.

4. Positive communication

We encourage open, honest, and constructive communication among dancers, instructors, organizers, and community members to foster global collaboration.

5. Embrace diversity and inclusion

We celebrate the diversity of the Zouk community and welcome dancers of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities. We aim to create an inclusive space where everyone feels valued and empowered.

6. Responsible conduct

We promote ethical and responsible behavior across the Zouk community, prioritizing safety, well-being, and compliance with local laws and regulations.

We encourage humility and lifelong learning among dancers, instructors, and competitors. Personal growth strengthens the artistry and culture of Brazilian Zouk.
