Rachel Ramalho

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Rachel is a teacher and performer with broad experience and training in multiple dance styles. She began at 16 and spent eight years with the renowned Jaime Arôxa Dance Company.

In 2008 she founded Ramalho’s Studio with her family in Rio de Janeiro, which became a reference in teaching Brazilian Zouk and Lambada. Since then, she has traveled Brazil and the world teaching, performing, and promoting these dances. In 2012 she organized her first festival, establishing herself as an organizer dedicated to expanding the dance community. She now leads several of the scene’s best-known festivals:

Rachel is a member of the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council (BZDC) and also DJs at international events. She is recognized for her sense of humor, clarity, and rich pedagogy, as well as for connecting with dancers of all levels.
