Caio Noronha
Software Engineer
My name is Caio Noronha. My work happens between technology and Brazilian Zouk. I am a software developer, teacher, competitor, DJ, and community organizer, and I truly enjoy building both digital tools and experiences that strengthen the global dance community.
As a software developer, I create digital platforms and websites for the dance world. I was responsible for developing the BZDC website and have also contributed to other technology projects connected to the dance community, helping organizers, competitors, and dancers share information and connect internationally. I believe technology can play an important role in strengthening dance communities by making events, knowledge, and opportunities more accessible to people around the world.
In the dance scene, I teach Brazilian Zouk together with my partner Fabi as part of the duo Caio & Fabi, focusing on fun, musicality, and developing a strong social dance foundation, always with lightness and joy in the process. I also actively participate in Zouk competitions, competing in Jack & Jill from Beginner to Advanced, which has been an important part of my evolution.
Besides teaching and competing, I also work as DJ Noronha, playing at Zouk events and socials and helping create lively, enjoyable dance floors for the community.
I am also one of the creators of Zouk Coffee, a study group where dancers meet to explore and train different Brazilian Zouk topics. Through Zouk Coffee we organize trainings, competitions, and events, creating a space where people can experiment, exchange ideas, and deepen their understanding of the dance.
Another project I am developing is WeDance, a platform created to help dancers discover events and connect with dance communities around the world. The idea behind WeDance is to support the global dance ecosystem by making access to events, opportunities, and connections in the international scene easier.
At the end of the day, whether through dance, music, or technology, my goal is always the same: to contribute to the growth of the Brazilian Zouk community and help connect dancers around the world.
